FAQs

What previous qualifications are needed?

This qualification is available to those over 18 years. Candidates should be at least a Level 2 numeracy and literacy or equivalent. Learners are recommended to have previous competence in first aid.

What is the assessment method?

13 x practical assessments 3 x theory assessments (multiple choice questions) 4 x skills test Continuous assessment 

What is the duration of the course?  

The course is delivered over a five-day learning period, alongside guided learning hours, resulting in a certificate which is valid for three years on successful completion of the course.

What is the progression route?

Learners may progress onto other prehospital qualifications, as well as oxygen and medical gases administration.
